Having promised the kids a chance to ride the rides, the three of us returned to the Delaware State Fair on Monday. Weekday wristbands were $22 each and I only bought them for the kids. At first, we split up and Big Boy rode some of the bigger rides by himself. Lil' Bit was stuck with the smaller rides and much disappointment. Even the smaller rides had a 42 inch height requirement and Lil Bit measures in at about 41 to 41 and a half inches. Some of the ride attendants measured her as OK to ride and some turned her away. One of her favorite rides was a caterpillar roller coaster and she got her money's worth riding that one.
We were not there too long before a huge thunderstorm came through. Not letting this dampen (pun intended) our good time, and with much humor, the kids and I ran around the fair looking at exhibits until the rides opened up again. We frolicked around singing an off key rendition of 'Singing in the Rain"
